High-low fashion: H&M X Eytys is selling out fast

H&M X Eytys collaboration

The H&M group really is killing it on the high street imo. COS, Arket and & Other Stories are my current high street go-tos for perennial pieces with a fashion edge that aren’t going to date by the time I’ve hung them up.

H&M has just created another winner with its H&M X Eytys collab of unisex shoes, clothes and accessories that just launched last week. Margiela AIDS tee

“[Sontag’s 1989 book] ‘AIDS and Its Metaphors’ was such an important work. It shoved us along in our grudging recognition and understanding of H.I.V. and the isolation it brings. Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Tint new colours

Despite the deluge of new makeup brands, the likes of Huda Beauty, Kat Von D and Kylie Cosmetics just don’t appeal to me. I really prefer less is more makeup with the odd push in a more adventurous direction. So I guess that’s why I always return to Bobbi Brown and Chanel. (Newness-wise I guess I’m more of a Westman Atelier girl, when is it coming to the UK?!)

These new additions to the OG Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Tint are perfect (more…)

Trend report: What to wear and do for SS19

Givenchy ss19 by Corey Tenold

Even though people are sniffy about trends, I still quite like tracking them. The trick is just to pay attention to the ones that work for you. So in this wee SS19 round-up, I’m deliberately ignoring anything overstatementy or hype-y that will have disappeared in a year. And instead homing in on the classics that have been reinvented or lifestyle movements that will impact how we live.

NOGO We’ve reached peak logo (sorry Gucci) and now it’s about deliberately unbranded products. I signed up to Italic last year, which is a membership-based direct-to-consumer company selling unbranded, yet high quality products that come straight from the factory. (more…)
