Trend report: what to wear for SS24

Spring is properly here, so it’s off with the coats and on with the T-shirts. LOL April Fool! Alas no, it’s still pretty chilly in NW10, so my Spring trend report is leaning a little towards knits and waterproofs for another few weeks. But amongst the leather outerwear and aristo-inspired Barbours and barn jackets, there are skin-baring T-bar shoes, shiny, happy tinted lip oils and molto pops of primary colour (the Italians do it better). Still a bit gutted that Hedi didn’t end up at Chanel. Ah well, Celine’s gain. Nothing crazy new to see here but his brand of retro-modernism for Winter 24 (just teased in a film) looks contemporary and cool – yet surprisingly un-grungy – in the way only Hedi’s can. (more…)

Spring is almost here but it’s still cold AF and I’m not quite ready to give up the four-ply. Good news for NYC readers; Lauren Manoogian (above) is getting ready to open her first store in Broome Street, where you can envelope yourself in her signature alpaca sweaters, robe-y cardigans and humungous scarves. Closer to home, we Brits can get them from Harrods*, Selfridges*, Net-a-Porter* and Couverture*. (more…)
