I don’t think I’ve ever been able to get a gift guide up in time so maybe don’t consider this a gift guide. Maybe it’s more of a self-gifting guide. Or a ‘what to spend your Christmas money on in January’ guide.

I’m in KonMari heaven looking at this newly opened Gabriela Hearst flagship store on Madison Avenue. The perfectly folded sweaters, the pristine reclaimed oak and marble eco flooring, the minimalist styling offset with cosy honey-and-blonde colour palette; is this not the visual equivalent of ASMR? What to buy the beauty-phile who has everything? Well there are a few always happily received items one can rely on. A Fornasetti candle, in its illustrated ceramic holder is a definite keeper, or maybe the trinket tray with the illustrated hand to hold her nail polishes and cotton pads.
