Who we are

Disneyrollergirl is an editorial site owned by Navaz Batliwalla. Our website address is www.disneyrollergirl.net. You can contact us via our contact page.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent ‘string’ to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Contact forms The only contact form currently used on this site is from Mailchimp, an email service which allows interested parties to sign up to the weekly Disneyrollergirl blog digest. We will link Mailchimp’s privacy policy here. Disneyrollergirl does not collect or store any data from contact forms.

Cookies Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive and are used by websites to store information such as the time the visit occurred, whether users have visited the site previously and what site referred them to the web page. For your protection, Disneyrollergirl’s website is SSL certified.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in ‘cookies’. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

By default WordPress (the content management system that powers the blog) does not collect any personal data about visitors, and only collects the data shown on the registered user’s (owner’s) profile. However some of the additional ‘plugins’ (technological add-ons) may collect personal data.

The cookies set by our plugins, social media and analytics include the following: LTK, Skimlinks, Rakuten, AWIN, Commission Junction, Shopstyle, Jetpack, Google Analytics, Pinterest, Youtube, Mailchimp, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Askimet. Links to their privacy policies have been added.

Embedded content from other websites Posts on this site occasionally include embedded content (e.g. YouTube videos). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. (To be honest, we hardly ever use embedded content.)

Analytics

Who we share your data with and how long we retain your data By default, WordPress does not collect any analytics data. However, this site used a WordPress plugin that provides analytics services, as well Google Analytics. These analytics tools provide us with basic information about who is visiting the site, such as how long they stay on a post, where they are based and which posts they visited. It does nor reveal any specific personal information that could identify an individual visitor to us.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

What rights you have over your data

If you have left comments on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
