I don’t think I’ve ever been able to get a gift guide up in time so maybe don’t consider this a gift guide. Maybe it’s more of a self-gifting guide. Or a ‘what to spend your Christmas money on in January’ guide.

While the fashion industry is becoming less seasonal by the day, instead opting for more frequent ‘drops’, in my mind, September is still officially New Season month. I still look forward to the September issue of Vogue (yes, I’m the one keeping print afloat) (Just – R.I.P Marie Claire) and I’m relieved to see proper clothes in the shops instead of endless tees and shorts. If you’re a Peanuts fan, you’ll love this Chinti & Parker X Peanut collab that’s just dropped. I have to say that certain pop culture brands do wayyyyy too many collabs, it’s rendered them meaningless (*cough* Disney). I grew up with Mickey and Minnie as iconic symbols of classic Americana but over the years they have lost a lot of the magic.

I’m completely mad for this new Chinti & Parker knitwear collection. Muted colours, classic cuts but generous silhouettes, and the prices aren’t bad either. It’s surprisingly hard to find jumpers I like that aren’t super-plain or too tricksy. Usually there’s far too much going on and even I’m bored of my navy sweater drawer. (more…)
