The Hermes-ification of Lacoste starts here.

Louise Trotter thwacked the ball clean out of the court (or whatever the correct tennis terminology is – frankly I haven’t a clue) in her Lacoste creative director debut at Paris Fashion Week.

Having come from Joseph, there were shades of her relaxed, gentlewomanly aesethetic, with a sporty twist. My standouts were the superb outerwear, all the leathers, plus the camel and oxblood drawstring bags. (more…)

What are we to make of Celine 3.0? I loved Hedi Slimane at Dior Homme and Hedi at Saint Laurent, but I’m not sure how I feel about the exact same look at Celine. It all feels a bit… Sandro circa 2016 (which is kinder than the ‘H&M Divided’ comment on Insta). I did like the menswear though (which is actually unisex), and the women’s boots. (more…)

how to wear tan.

My default summer-into-autumn mode is everything tan. Tan leather especially, mixed with burgundy, camel, red, and a bit of denim. Tan leather bags seems to have taken over from black as the most popular neutral so there’s plenty of choice on that front.

I’ve been surgically attached to my Mulberry Small Maple tote (which now seems to be sold out – I told you to be fast!), but the Mulberry Amberley satchel is the next best thing (more…)
