A good pop-up still has its place and this one blends a few retail trends at once. As a taster prior to its launch onto the ‘premium high-street’, last week online fashion site Finery London opened a week-long pop-up showroom that mixed physical creativity with digital experimentalism. (more…)

I’ve been tracking AllSaints’ gradual transformation for a while now and wow, the metamorphosis is complete! Its latest Instagram campaign, #HappyMondays is really very cool, a celebration of its ‘Iconic’ leather jacket worn by up and coming models and tastemakers who lend their own personality and style cred to the pictures. Atelier Vlisco SS15

Bold plans are being forged at Vlisco, the Dutch textile company whose wax prints have been the toast of African fashionistas for over a century. If you don’t know the name, you’ll undoubtedly recognize the prints. They’re what we consider traditional ‘African’ prints even though they orginated in Indonesia before being adopted by the powerhouse that is the Vlisco manufacture, based in southern Holland.

While the prints have traditionally been sold by the yard to be made up by personal tailors into one-off garments, the brand is moving into off the peg territory. (more…)
