It’s been a slow couple of weeks so the DRG STYLE INDEX has been on hiatus. But it’s back for 2016 – here’s the latest ranking of the brands currently buzzing on my radar…

1. MARC JACOBS BEAUTY IS COMING TO HARRODS

Only a few more weeks until we get an official London stockist for Marc Jacobs Beauty. Although the Marc Jacobs store in Mount Street has been selling it quietly since 2014, Harrods will be stocking it from next month. (more…)

Here’s the latest weekly DRG STYLE INDEX ranking, a round-up of the brands currently buzzing on my radar…

1. JUST BURBERRY

I got to attend the unveiling of the new Burberry Christmas ad in the Regent Street flagship on Tuesday and as expected, it was fun, stylish and very British. And it totally made me want to see Billy Elliot. The celeb-filled event completely overshadowed the week’s other Burberry news, that the brand is consolidating all its sub-brands under one big Burberry-checked umbrella. So no more Burberry Brit, London or Prorsum – just ‘Burberry’ (which is what we all called it anyway). (more…)

1. COACH 2.0 IS LOOKING GOOD

Coach’s luxury push is hard to ignore. Its ads are all over the tube, it has a prominent position in Selfridges menswear and it’s now opened a store in Paris. So far I’m a fan of this amped up iteration of Coach, although the store interior is looking very Burberry… (more…)
