Lacoste x Sporty & Rich* is a happy hook-up between L.A wellness and French après-tennis. Sporty & Rich has arguably made sweats and polos a de rigueur fashion statement by tapping into 80s sports pop culture (Princess Di post-gym pap shots are a mood board regular) through a sexy 70s lens with a side of post-Goop wellness rhetoric. Bethann Hardison’s documentary film, Invisible Beauty is showing at the Tribeca Film Festival next week and Londoners will get their turn in July.
It promises to be a fantastic treat as she has codirected the film with Frédéric Tcheng (of Halston and Dior and I fame). If you haven’t heard of Hardison, she’s an ex-model and fashion advocate, perhaps best known for starting the Black Girl’s Coalition, celebrating and promoting Black models. (more…)
