What’s in store from Selfridges this Christmas?

I know it’s not cool to talk about Christmas when the clocks have only just gone back but let’s be realistic. The shopping season starts early these days, and stores have to do what they can to grab attention. Last week saw Selfridges unveil its Christmas offer, ‘Journey to the Stars’ which is themed around constellations – aka everything to do with the galaxy, astrology, spiritualism and mysticism.

Selfridges is also maximising its offer on personalisation as it has done for the last two years. (more…)

Much as I love my safe no make-up make-up, I can’t help feeling we’re about to transition into a more experimental and expressive time for beauty. As with fashion, I feel like we’ve overdone the classic minimalism and now we want some exciting colour and decoration to go with our proverbial white shirts and black cigarette pants. (more…)

1. COACH 2.0 IS LOOKING GOOD

Coach’s luxury push is hard to ignore. Its ads are all over the tube, it has a prominent position in Selfridges menswear and it’s now opened a store in Paris. So far I’m a fan of this amped up iteration of Coach, although the store interior is looking very Burberry… (more…)
