I haven’t bought APC jeans for quite a few years. The last pair were beautifully rigid but too boxy everywhere so I hardly wore them. But always loved the quality of their non-stretch denim.

This season’s issue has a collab with L’Etiquette magazine, showing off the best in French casual style (above), plus an interview with John Pawson (who knew he was a Uniqlo outerwear stan?) and a wholesome photo portfolio of Harvard athletes off-duty (think Take Ivy with a sportswear twist – below). The J.Crew menswear 3.0 look book is in. Is it any cop? You decide.
First impressions from Brendon Babenzien’s J.Crew vision are… it looks promising. Not ground breaking but it aligns with the Drake’s, Aimé Leon Dore, Ralph-lite customer and will likely filter to the Uniqlo tribe looking to spend a little more. Price points look OK and there’s a welcome focus on quality and provenance. (more…)
