It seems everyone’s trying to crack the luxury fashion resale nut. In the same week that UK-based Covetique closed, eBay extended its eBay Valet service to include high end fashion (helped by Garance Dore, above). eBay Valet is the service that allows you to box up your fashion rejects and let someone else take care of the listing. Thank you Jane from British Beauty Blogger for the scoop on Troi Ollivierre. The J Crew make-up artist brought out his own line of lippies last year, but they’ve been rather elusive in the UK. But now they’re available online. There are six dense matte shades, all named after boys. George, a flame red is calling my name (not that I need any more orange-red lipsticks)…

You can see why bloggers are the beauty industry’s best friends. More than magazines or celebs they have a very subtle knack of making you think you need things you’d never even thought about before. Brushes, for example. I never considered makeup brushes a thing until I started watching beauty vlogs and then suddenly, I felt I needed to know the ins and outs of buffer brushes, contour brushes and those funny flat fan-shaped, um, fan brushes.

The best thing about this month’s Vogue? Well it’s a toss up between Stella Tennant’s cover; her main fashion shoot (in which she’s styled in miltary fatiques and louche satins); and Laura Weir’s 14-page feature on 90s supermodels.
