If you happen to be visiting the Festival d’Avignon this summer (lucky you!), be sure to stop by Collection Lambert. A new exhibition, On aime l’art is showing fashion designer Agnès b’s spectacular contemporary art collection, which includes this painting by Jean-Michel Basquiat, who she befriended shortly before he died. (Sotheby’s recently sold Basquiat’s 1982 painting, Untitled, for $110,500,000, the highest price to date for any American artist at auction.) (more…)
