Bobbi Brown’s Skin Long-Wear Weightless Foundation is the best new foundation I’ve tried this year. It’s good coverage, not matte and not glowy, but just right, giving a real skin finish that doesn’t cake or flake by the end of the day. I love that it’s lavender scented which has an instantly calming effect on my brain – handy when I’m running late in the morning. (more…)
A good way to get into spring mode, even if it’s still coat whether outside, is scent. Specifically rose, which these days manages to be both fresh and outdoorsy yet calm and comforting. Diptyque’s Eau Rose (£65, below) is a non-cloying everyday eau de toilette that smells very ‘full’ on first spritz but quickly dissipates into something gentler and greener. I’m apologising in advance for the deluge of bronzers and tinted moisturisers you’re about to be hit with. Starting with Crème de la Mer’s Reparative SkinTint with SPF 30. First the bad news: it’s £65 for 40ml. But the good news is it has a tiny nozzle that squirts out the product in miniscule amounts, so there’s zero wastage.
