Anyone tried Verishop? The new anti-Amazon e-com platform (from former Snap Inc. exec, Imran Khan) is an online marketplace that aims to give a much more elevated experience than the soulless functionality of Amazon.

Pitched as ‘affordable luxury’ for young customers looking for contemporary brands, it’s banking on 24/7 customer service to entice customers, with free shipping and returns, making up the margins with lower marketing spend. (more…)

One of my SS20 menswear highlights (again) was Dior, whose creative director, Kim Jones continues to play with ‘feminine’ tropes like organza and embroidery in its menswear shows. Wardrobe NYC, a new concept for fashion, works by delivering pieces in ‘packs’ rather than individually. So rather than buying a jacket or a top, you’re committed to buying a bulk set of clothes that work together.

Crucially, the design is immaculately considered for the fad-averse gentlewoman (or man) who just wants good clothes. Behind the concept are Australian designer Josh Goot and Louis Vuitton stylist Christine Centenera. (more…)

I’m in KonMari heaven looking at this newly opened Gabriela Hearst flagship store on Madison Avenue. The perfectly folded sweaters, the pristine reclaimed oak and marble eco flooring, the minimalist styling offset with cosy honey-and-blonde colour palette; is this not the visual equivalent of ASMR?
