Christopher Bailey is leaving Burberry next year after 17 years at the brand. I don’t often get too involved in the designer merry-go-round discussions as these days it happens so frequently. And honestly, there aren’t many designers that I’m interested in on a personal level. But Phoebe Philo’s name has been thrown in the ring and that’s one that I think would be a great coup for Burberry. (more…)

What did everyone make of the Burberry show last week? I loved it! After the initial buzz of the evening wore off, I canvassed some fashion industry opinion, and found the reactions to be 50/50 mixed. While Burberry is very much in favour of opening up Fashion Week to the wider public with its shop-the-runway model, in many ways I think you need to be there IRL to feel the full impact of the shows. Indie boy wars: Saint Laurent or Burberry?
