THE DRG STYLE INDEX: VETEMENTS, MARC JACOBS BEAUTY, MSGM, WOOYOUNGMI

Here’s the latest weekly DRG STYLE INDEX ranking, a round-up of the brands currently buzzing on my radar…

1. VETEMENTS JUST OPENED ITS FIRST STORE
Vetements store Dover street Market
Dover Street Market, barometer of all things zetgeisty has given Vetements its first ever store. Situated in DSM’s New York outpost, it’s… well, it basically looks like a curtained-off fitting room, but hey if DSM are calling it a ‘store’ then I’m not gonna argue. (more…)

What to buy from Ines de la Fressange X Uniqlo SS16

Ines de la Fressange X Uniqlo

Ines de la Fressange continues to crank out accessible Parisian classics for Uniqlo. In the latest collection I’ve spotted a great grey sweatshirt*, the perfect indigo jeans*, a very nice blue Oxford shirt and countless iterations of slim-leg chinos. *Update: Grrr, a couple of things are now sold out online but hopefully are still stocked in store. Otherwise, well y’know, eBay…?

So Grindr is live streaming the J.W. Anderson AW16 menswear show this morning, which isn’t as weird as it sounds. According to the New York Times, Grindr is pivoting to embrace fashion, music and entertainment, not just gay guys looking for a hook-up. In short, Grindr is doing a Snapchat. Sounds like a sensible move. Read more here(more…)
