Laduree opens in Covent Garden

Is this the chicest china in WC2? Laduree has opened a Covent Garden outpost in the heart of The Piazza with a balcony overlooking the buskers. It joins the newly opened Burberry Brit store (a minute away in King Street) and the soon-to-come Balthazar in the ‘Opera Quarter’, due this autumn. Event! Club Monaco for Browns Blogger Style Series

Next Thursday and Saturday I’ll be returning to my shop girl roots to take part in the Blogger Style Series event with Club Monaco and Browns. Browns was the boutique that every fashion obsessive worshipped when I was growing up in the late 80s – all the major (and minor-but-promising) labels were stocked there. (more…)

Vintage Hemingway

Following last year’s Vintage at Goodwood, Wayne Hemingway’s fashion-and-music Vintage Festival moves to London this summer. On Wednesday, Caryn Franklin will be in conversation with Hemingway at the Museum of London to discuss London and its influences on his work in the creative industries. I caught a speech by Hemingway a while ago at a mobile phone launch (!) and found him to be likeable and engaging. The always-inspiring Caryn Franklin is a brilliant interviewer so if you’re interested in thoughts on design and creativity I reckon this will be well worth attending.
