What sad news about designer Sonia Rykiel, who passed away yesterday at the age of 86 after a long illness with Parkinson’s disease. It’s well known that she was no longer at the creative helm of her brand, but it was such a strong brand that it retained her striking identity throughout the numerous successive creative directors.
