Here’s the latest weekly DRG STYLE INDEX ranking, a round-up of the brands currently buzzing on my radar…
COACH THE FRAGRANCE IS COMING
Good news for Coach; the revamp is working and sales are enjoying an upswing. Clearly its customers are loving the retro-modern Americana references cooked up by Stuart Vevers of late (not to mention the endless ads of girls-and-cars). Next step? A new Coach fragrance is in the works, fronted by Chloe Moretz. Read more here.
J. CREW X DRAKE’S
I loved the J. Crew X Drake’s collab when I saw a preview a few weeks ago, now it’s just landed on shop floors. If you’re a fan of pyjama styling, you should check this out, it’s full of printed silken delights, including scarves PJ-inspired tops, trousers and ballet flats, all designed by the British textile brand with a J. Crew twist. Buy them here.
DIOR’S WECHAT OPPORTUNITY
Yesterday I wrote about Burberry’s Pinterest-commerce. Today it’s about Dior’s WeChat retail. Dior sold customised versions of its Lady Dior bag to its engaged WeChat followers, a big deal considering Dior famously doesn’t selling anything online, not even perfume. Glossy breaks down how Dior approached this e-com opp.
