Gotta love Matchesfashion.com at this time of year. You get the big-ass Matches glossy magazine through the post, plus all the shiny new SS15 deliveries. Among them are a couple of noteworthy new womenswear lines.
I’m excited about Kolor womenswear (the designer of Kolor happens to be Mr Sacai) and Matchesfashion.com’s just-launched own label, RAEY. RAEY is right on target with the clean-lined, boyish silhouettes that have dominated the 2010s, livened up with pops of pink and primrose yellow.
Plus, Matchesfashion.com’s denim focus is spot on for me; ‘forever denim’ in easy boyfriend shapes, throw-on shirting and gently lived-in kimono jackets (thank you MIH Jeans). Shop away below…

Who doesn’t love a Saffiano leather bag? And a Kurt Geiger one at that? That’s a hypothetical question of course, these textured leather totes have helped contribute to blockbusting sales for Kurt Geiger, thanks to their classic proportions, agreeable price and durability. (Ever seen a scruffy looking one? Me neither.) To celebrate our love for the Saffiano tote and coincide with Valentine’s Day, Kurt Geiger has come up with a design project with the second year BA accessory design students at Cordwainers at London College Of Fashion. 1) OLYMPIA LE-TAN’S DEBUT STORE
I just saw that Olympia Le-Tan has opened her first store in Paris. I love this girl. Everything from her book-shaped minaudieres to her RTW and even her Tumblr are beautifully executed. The store is located at Passage des Deux-Pavillons, just behind the Palais Royal and houses everything from clothes, to bags (of course), accessories and jewellery. (more…)
