The J Brand X Bella Freud collab is such a good fit. It’s Bella’s first foray into denim and tapping into J Brand’s denim knowledge and customer base will help to expose her to bigger international markets, while retaining her English boy-girl attitude. I’m glad it hasn’t gone off on a wonky L.A. girl tangent!

I’ve had Margaret Howell tailoring on the brain, after spotting a version of the above image on my favourite editorial throwback Instagram account, @Magazine_Fan. It’s a UK Vogue shot of Jeny Howorth by Peter Lindbergh from 1986, featuring a double-breasted jacket with structured power shoulders. Interestingly, thanks to the small houndstooth check and subtle colour scheme, it hasn’t aged too badly.

It takes a lot to get me to an 8.30am press launch, but the addition of seven new boutiques to the Harrods Salon de Perfums did the trick. Joining the original ten boutiques, this 6th floor haven is a destination for serious scent seekers.

Let’s talk personalisation and experience, two big lifestyle trends that are a gift to luxury retailers. At Harrods they’re expected by wealthy overseas customers, who demand excellence and uniqueness from every visit.
