Somehow I missed the news that Boy de Chanel*, the men’s make-up line had launched here in the summer. I knew it had launched in South Korea last year, but hadn’t clocked it in any London stores. But I spotted it in the St Pancras Station Chanel beauty boutique recently, so got a good close up look.

The collection is a small one, consisting of a tinted fluid in four shades, a matte lip balm and four shades of brow pencil. (more…)

Top of the watch list, if only for the hair and ‘fashions’. No seriously, Seberg, a thriller based on actress and civil rights supporter Jean Seberg’s persecution by the F.B.I looks like it’s worth a watch and if nothing else, will bring her name to a new generation of style seekers.

Jean Seberg was a major garconne style icon for me in the 90s and everything about the cult Jean-Luc Godard film, Breathless (*cough* not least co-star JP Belmondo) is beyond cool. (more…)

I’m already bored of all the decade in review articles; I much prefer looking forward.

We’re going to see a big shift in travel according to How To Spend It, with ‘high slow’ focusing on deep, meaningful, journeys rather than far flung jet-setting for the sake of showing off. I love this picture of a Prior Nomadic Clubhouse at Ahilya Fort in Maheshwar, India. It’s an example of the appetite for understanding the essence of a destination and taking the time to appreciate and support it.

As a die-hard city princess girl who’s never embraced camping, I’m also intrigued by Hipcamp, dubbed ‘the Airbnb of the Outdoors’. (more…)
