I feel a bit guilty saying this, but Alasdair McLennan’s story in UK Vogue’s September issue was my favourite. Even if, as a commenter on The Fashion Spot described it, “[it’s the] same editorial he’s been doing this entire decade”. (Ouch.) I know I should be raving about the Rihanna shoot or the Anton Corbijn shoot (which is lush) but sometimes I just want some tried and tested retro heritage candy, which this delivers. (more…)

I’m not a huge high street girl (I leave that to Alison  – there are probably six fast fashion brands I go to) but put Stella in the frame and I’m open to anything.

I love Stella Tennant modelling for these Zara denim look book pictures. They’re clean, simple, and the clothes look contemporary but timeless enough to last a few seasons (and hopefully a few washes too). (more…)

Dries van Noten Aw17

I watched the Dries van Noten AW17 live stream on Facebook Live and enjoyed the interaction and running commentary from fellow viewers. It was wholly positive except for some anti-fur comments. I loved seeing my fave 90s models – Cecelia Chancellor, Emma Balfour, Amber Valetta, Kirsten Owen – owning the catwalk in Dries’ boxy blazers and slouchy denim (with ankle socks and chunky heels or winklepickers – fab!).
