Books and bookshops – two of my favourite things. In fact, I may have bought more books than clothes last year. And it was a good year for book shops. Who can forget the publicity coup that was the Great (accidental) Waterstones Lock-In? I’m keeping my eye on Trademark this year, a brand I only discovered a few weeks ago at their London press day. Shapes are simple, and a tiny bit preppie (well, there are sweatshirts) but it’s the overall presentation as ‘a brand’ that I like – focussed, clean and graphic. (more…)

I don’t know how these passed me by but I just spotted these Karen Walker pics on Honestly WTF. To celebrate ten years of eyewear success, Walker released ten limited edition sunglasses designs in special gold frames with gold mirrored lenses. I love my Karen Walker sunnies so I’m happy to raise a glass to another 10 years. (more…)

Burberry X VSCO Cam

Everyone knows about Instagram, but VSCOcam is another photo social networking app that’s gaining popularity with photography fans and brands. Its filters are stunning and it lends itself to professional photographers and brands who want to create galleries (called ‘grids’) of a superior standard. Here’s one I discovered from VSCOcam and Burberry which lets users upload their own images to a ‘grid’ dedicated to rainy weather. (more…)
