All attention has been on couture this week, with a wonderful Valentino show (Valentino is winning couture for me at the mo, not least for Pierpaolo’s studio antics), a pleasingly understated Dior show, and a shimmering Chanel show (watch my verdict on SHOWstudio). So my funny little Grenson Insta-meet plan worked out a treat!

We scheduled a date just before Fashion Week to gather DRG readers and Insta friends together to talk shoes, style and social. And we ended up playing quite a few games of six degrees of separation as we realised that this person knew that person, who followed that person who had lots in common with that other person. This Wednesday, I’m hosting a jolly get-together at Grenson’s lovely Soho store in London. It’s all an excuse to step away from the social media screen and meet IRL, just like our old blogger meet-ups back in the day. As much as I love making connections online, it’s good to meet face to face, and I particularly want to get to know some of the people I’ve been talking to on social media for the past couple of years.
