Who is the Mr Burberry guy?

I thought I’d flag this up as I’ve neglected men’s grooming on here lately.

Burberry’s new Mr Burberry fragrance has launched and lovely as it is (in a classic gentleman’s summer citrus kinda way), I’m more interested in the add-on products. There’s a compact offer of face moisturiser, a beard oil, a body wash and a couple of deodorants. And the eau de toilette comes in lots of sizes, including a 1000ml beribboned bottle (yours for £1400.00) that can all be engraved. (more…)

Beauty favourites: moisture-packed lip sheers

There seems to be a huge push for multi-tasking moisturising lipsticks that let you decide if you want them sheer or high impact. YSL Beauty’s new Rouge Volupté Shine Tint-In-Oil sticks are the perfect example. They’re packaged like a classic lipstick but deliver so much more, which doesn’t surprise me – beauty consumers demand a hell of a lot from beauty products there days. Would you buy a monogrammed Burberry trench?

Burberry is surely the king of fashion customisation. So far it has monogrammed scarves, ponchos, perfume bottles and now, trench coats. Starting this week, you can monogram your trench coat using an online tool that gives you up to three initials in a selection of 15 thread colours. The beauty of the online tool is that it lets you preview what your monogrammed trench will look like before you press the ’buy’ button.

The monogramming trend does throw up one quandary for me however. (more…)

At London Fashion Week, I always want more colour*

This week at London Fashion Week, I’ve been on the hunt for colour as part of an editorial collaboration with LFW partner Swatch. If you follow me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or Snapchat, you’ll have seen the mentions popping up alongside a trio of new season Swatch watches and the #Ialwayswantmore hashtag.

Personally, my default colours are navy, grey and camel, plus denim of course (hey, blue is a colour). Red and pink get the occasional look in (more…)
