I thought I’d flag this up as I’ve neglected men’s grooming on here lately.
Burberry’s new Mr Burberry fragrance has launched and lovely as it is (in a classic gentleman’s summer citrus kinda way), I’m more interested in the add-on products. There’s a compact offer of face moisturiser, a beard oil, a body wash and a couple of deodorants. And the eau de toilette comes in lots of sizes, including a 1000ml beribboned bottle (yours for £1400.00) that can all be engraved. Personally, I love Burberry’s make-up line; everything from its foundations to lipsticks to blushes are brilliantly formulated with colors that are trend-relevant yet utterly wearable. And this foray into men’s grooming is similarly fashion-savvy without being too out-there.
Actually, this grooming line reminds me of Tom Ford for Men; it’s masculine and sophisticated but a little bit sexy (excuse me while I appraise Josh Whitehouse’s acting skills in the ad campaign one more time) and the products are luxe but user-friendly. I think it will do very well for the bloke that aspires to the Beckham lifestyle, wants to look after himself and appreciates products that work effectively.
