On my radar: Abask, your new design destination

Abask interiors

Heads-up: there’s a fab new e-commerce platform getting a lot of attention right now.

As fashion and beauty online retail have become saturated, as well as an overall fatigue with trends in consuming, it makes sense that some are shifting interests to interiors, a somewhat slower pace of taste signalling – for now.

Abask is the brainchild of Matchesfashion co-founder Tom Chapman and former ecommerce director Nicolas Pickaerts. Its premise is room-themed edits of lovingly-crafted artisanal pieces – whether new, vintage or antique. This nutty brown one by & Other Stories* is also lovely (and a good price at £165), or for better size availability, the trad beige version is here*. (more…)

Hopefully that means we’re raising a generation that won’t resort to invasive aesthetic procedures like injectables, lasers and skin resurfacing to repair damaged skin in the future.

In particular, cleansers, facial washes and body washes have become so much more part of a proactive wellbeing ritual. (more…)

From November 2022, 150 individually numbered, 18-carat yellow gold editions of the new Pebble will be available. The new Cartier Pebble, like the original, will feature the smooth, round-edged 36mm case with tilted square dial in an off-white eggshell opaline, according to Hodinkee. (more…)
