The Financial Times on blogger influence and the commercial clout of online tastemakers



Much food for thought in yesterday’s FT article on the power of online tastemakers to shift product. Do also read the second piece on digital marketing agency Joyn* and French company Linkfluence which digs deeper into data analysis ( fyi ‘data’ is going to be one of the big watchwords for 2012).

This time last year I was in the thick of researching an article for H&M magazine on the increasingly mainstream appeal of fashion advertising. TOPMAN LAUNCHES ONLINE MAGAZINE

Topman’s digital zine, Generation launched last week. It’s an eclectic mix of culture and style and from my first look doesn’t seem to be about pushing product, it’s purely content driven. I find it a bit too visually chaotic but I like the variety of content. (more…)



Blogger successes: Style Salvage, Susie Bubble, Fashion Foie Gras and Liberty London Girl




This has been quite the blogger achievement week. Yesterday saw the official on-sale date for the Six By 6 Bloggers shoe project with Farfetch (shout out to blog mates Style Salvage and Susie Bubble and blog acquaintance Face Hunter) while Wednesday was the launch of Emily Johnson’s Fashion Foie Gras For Coach blogger bag.
