Matte or glow? Two new foundation favourites

Burberry-Fresh-Glow-Fluid-foundation

This has been a big year for foundation launches but I still haven’t found a match for my holy grail Myface Mymix which is down to its final squirt.

Close though is Burberry’s Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid foundation (£35). Can I be honest? I wasn’t entirely convinced by Burberry’s beauty ambitions at first, so I tested this with lowish expectations. Readers – it’s a keeper. The texture is a moisturising satin fluid that comes out of a pump bottle (which is wayyy too big but I’ll let that pass). (more…)

Beauty hero: Chanel Rouge Allure Gloss

Chanel-Rouge-Allure-Gloss

Only one more sleep until the launch of what could possibly be my favourite beauty product of the year. The new Chanel Rouge Allure Gloss is a hybrid of lip gloss and lipstick and it’s absolutely faultless. (more…)

The DRG Style Index: Marques’Almeida X Topshop, Louis Vuitton, J. Crew, Farfetch Discover, Shinola, Christopher Kane X NARS

Shredded denim, delicious true-blue washes, an overall rough-n-ready aesthetic…watch this one fly. (P.S, if you’re eyeing up the parka, be fast, it’s predicted to go first…) (more…)

Shiseido secrets for fast beauty

Shiseido-Sheer-And-Perfect-Compact

I loved hearing about Shiseido Secrets at a recent Shiseido make-up launch. It’s a cute awareness project that flags up its hero products such as its famous eyelash curler. These are apparently a bit of a beauty insider wonder tool, designed as they are for the straightest lashes of them all: Asian ones.

My own Shiseido Secrets include an old product and a new one. I love using Shiseido face wipes. At £16.50, Shisedo Pureness Refreshing Cleansing Sheets (to give them their full name) are an irregular indulgence but they do the best job if you’re a lazy make-up taker-offer. Buy it HERE.

And my new discovery is the Shiseido Sheer And Perfect Compact (£29), a light powder foundation. Deep Ochre (no 80) is my perfect colour match with just the right amount of yellow. (more…)
