Is it me or are there very few cool images of great grey haircuts out there?

The diversity conversation is great n all but one area where diversity is still lacking fashion-and-beauty wise is in the sphere of ‘older’ women who look their age.

What do I mean by ‘older women’? In this case, let’s say 50+. This is the age of the supermodel generation, and I just noticed a Prada ad in British Vogue featuring 90s model Rachel Williams. (more…)

Buzzfeed news is dead, Paper followed suit and things aren’t looking too rosy for Vice. Meanwhile, everyone’s sick of Instagram and TikTok is burning us out, one braincell at a time.

A truly sad end of an era for fashion. Our most inspiring guiding light has left the building and I don’t have anything to say other than thank you for all you taught us about fashion, art, style, humility and humanity. (Because fashion is never just about clothes.)

Vivienne Westwood was endlessly misunderstood and frequently ridiculed but she stuck to what she believed. She was full of contradictions, but I admired her for her self-belief, incredible tenacity and rebellious spirit. (more…)

Oh, how I’ve loved watching Douglas Keeve’s Supreme Models docuseries on YouTube over the last few weeks. Shown on Vogue’s YT channel, it documents the story of models of colour, from Donyale Luna in the 1960s to Jazzelle Zanaughtti today. And revisits some of my favourites from the past, including Veronica Webb, Sesilee Lopez and Pat Cleveland. (more…)
