I know a lot of people don’t bother with watches but I still love them, both as functional objects and as beautiful accessories. Weirdly, I’ve seen hardly anyone with an Apple Watch. I’m intrigued to know what they’re like but so far I’m in the dark.
Meanwhile, the luxury watch houses are going all out, and I really do mean all out, to create stunning feats of artistic wonder with their top-end timepieces. Chanel has done it recently with its Chanel Mademoiselle Prive? Coromandel Glyptic watch. Embarrassing admission: I never really got bronzer until I tried Chanel’s Les Beiges Healthy Glow a couple of years ago. It’s a good starter bronzer – so finely milled that you really get just the subtlest hint of warmth, but enough to make you look ten times better.
This year, Les Beiges has expanded with more gems to impart a similar tango-free outdoorsy glow. The hero is still the Les Beiges Healthy Glow compact which now comes in two new varieties, both striped to mimic the famous Chanel nautical mariniere top. (more…)

1. MEET CHANEL’S NEW BOY.FRIEND WATCH
Big news for Chanel – there’s a major new watch arriving in September, to accompany its other signature styles, the ceramic J12, and the chain-strapped Premiere. The Boy.Friend (named after Boy Capel – get it?) is extremely good looking and comes in both large and small sizes. (more…)
