First look at Christopher Kane for NARS and it’s suitably punchy. Big on neon-y pinks, the ten-piece ‘NEONEUTRAL’ collection is aimed at the fearless fashion-forward girl although there are some wearable nudes and corals in the mix. It lands on counter 15th April. (more…)

Lip balm: matte or gloss?

I’ve become quite the lip balm connoisseur in the last year, progressing from Burt’s Bees and Blistex (effective and affordable) to the upper echelons of lip moisturisation, courtesy of Chanel Hydra Beauty Nutrition and Creme De La Mer The Lip Balm. In all honesty, the cheap stuff is great and definitely does the job. But I can’t resist the lure of something as utilitarian as lip balm taken to the heights of poshness. (more…)

Buy it now: Les Intemporels de Chanel

Les Intemporels de Chanel limited edition palette and nail colour

Is there anyone better at translating its brand ‘codes’ into make-up? I think not. Chanel has done it again with its new limited edition Les Intemporels de Chanel palette and nail polish, which pay homage to the classic 2.55 bag.

The five eyeshadows in the L’Intemporel De Chanel palette (£47) are embossed with the unmistakable chain motif, while the dramatic colours are an interesting choice – unapologetically intense shades of green and purple, the blackest of blacks, plus silver white and soft gold to highlight. They almost look like little jewels in a jewellery box… (more…)
