1. HELLO TRADEMARK
I’m keeping my eye on Trademark this year, a brand I only discovered a few weeks ago at their London press day. Shapes are simple, and a tiny bit preppie (well, there are sweatshirts) but it’s the overall presentation as ‘a brand’ that I like – focussed, clean and graphic. (more…)
Two exhibitions I want to see this year…
The first one’s in Paris and is only on for the blink of an eye (January 20 – February 7 2015) so this is wishful thinking really. ‘Jean Cocteau, une donation américaine – Robert Rubin‘ sees forty works from the collection of American art historian Robert Rubin (including collage work and portraits by the likes of Cecil Beaton) shown together at the Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent Foundation. I don’t know how these passed me by but I just spotted these Karen Walker pics on Honestly WTF. To celebrate ten years of eyewear success, Walker released ten limited edition sunglasses designs in special gold frames with gold mirrored lenses. I love my Karen Walker sunnies so I’m happy to raise a glass to another 10 years. (more…)
Here’s something a bit different from Jo Malone London. Charlotte Stockdale has been the brand’s style editor for a while now but her influence isn’t always evident. But here it is in this home fragrance line called My Wanderlust. The fragrances reflect travel and the joy of exploration and the line includes a scent diffuser, candle, linen spray, soap and ‘square scents’ (for placing in drawers, wardrobe, luggage etc).
