This time last year I was in the thick of researching an article for H&M magazine on the increasingly mainstream appeal of fashion advertising. Mulberry’s making-of video and more profit rises




Like other luxury leather-goods brands Hermes and Loewe, Mulberry has created a video to celebrate the makers of its highly collectable bags. The video is narrated by CEO Godfrey Davis and shows workers at the factory in Somerset making handbags and talking about the apprentice programme and new factory extension. (more…)



Swatch’s six million dollar watches




Crikey, a collection of Swatch watches sold this week at auction for HK $ 51,707,500 (US $ 6,618,560). The Blum Collection, owned by Swiss businessman Peter Blum and his wife Linda was was one of the most complete collections of Swatches and was sold at a Phillips De Pury & Co auction at The Four Seasons Hotel in Hong Kong.
