I never look at red carpet dressing, but I’ve just had my inbox flooded with pictures from the Cannes party circuit. What was Kristen Stewart’s stylist thinking with that bizarre Chanel contraption? And Rihanna’s with this Adam Selman upholstery?
While it was sad to see some of my favourite French actresses looking trashy af in Saint Laurent by Anthony Vacarello at the Kering dinner, the situation redeemed itself thanks to Isabelle Huppert.
Here she is looking spectacular but not try-hard in a floor length Saint Laurent ivory crepe gown with draped and pleated waist detail and a black leather belt.
The black mani and immaculate red lip are equally sublime.

Retail needs more concept stores. More fun! More surprises! That’s the gospel according to Linda Fargo anyway, Bergdorf Goodman’s Fashion Director, who has just opened her own shop-in-shop, kitschly called ‘Linda’s’.
“Shopping has become too homogenous,” Fargo told Vogue. “I want something where there is discovery and I’m finding unexpected things that I haven’t seen in other stores. I’m hoping to impart the real shopping—before we were all overexposed and oversaturated—when we were more like shopping virgins.” (more…)
