Lipstick boxes daubed with painterly flowers are a thing. I’m loving the look of this Rodin X Vanessa Traina collab, although I’ve never tried Rodin’s lip products. Are they good? I like the idea of the lip and cheek oils (below), which I imagine give a barely-there stain, and they’re packed with safflower seed and sunflower seed oils so even though it says it’s a matte finish, they shouldn’t be drying. I don’t subscribe to any subscription boxes, it’s not like I don’t have enough make-up! But I do think they can be good for testing new brands and launches, plus who doesn’t love miniature products? I especially like all the collaboration boxes. This approach makes lots of sense and it must be so much fun to choose what gets included; I know British Beauty Blogger’s boxes with Latest In Beauty are hugely popular (heads-up: there are more coming next year).

Dum, dum, dum… Still a-tapping my fingers waiting for the Linda Rodin lipstick rollout*. Meanwhile, I thought I’d do a recap on some of her other cult products…

The face oils. The brand originated in 2007 with RODIN Olio Lusso face oil, her luxury elixir blend of essential oils with its distinctive jasmine and neroli scent. The latest addition is the just-launched, Lavender Absolute Face Oil (below) which sounds like utter heaven. Buy it at Olio Lusso.
