Embarrassing admission: I never really got bronzer until I tried Chanel’s Les Beiges Healthy Glow a couple of years ago. It’s a good starter bronzer – so finely milled that you really get just the subtlest hint of warmth, but enough to make you look ten times better.

This year, Les Beiges has expanded with more gems to impart a similar tango-free outdoorsy glow. The hero is still the Les Beiges Healthy Glow compact which now comes in two new varieties, both striped to mimic the famous Chanel nautical mariniere top. (more…)

White jeans. To some, they conjur up visions of skinny super-stretchy Vicky Beckham jeans accompanied by WAG-era plat-heeled Tributes. But not me. For my generation, a white jean (only an original-cut Levi’s boy-fit 501, mind,) signals 80s euro cool – especially when cropped at the ankle and accompanied by Gucci loafers, Ray-Ban Wayfarers, an obscure style mag and an exotic Italian beverage, supped at a pavement table. Power portholes at Craig Green



Craig Green Menswear Spring Summer 2016 in London

I’m sitting out LC:M this season but I enjoyed watching the Craig Green SS16 show via Caroline Issa’s Periscope – it felt a bit like I was sitting on her lap!

Like many ‘menswear’ designers, Green showed female models on his runway and certainly lots of the pieces looked interchangeable. One Periscope commenter called it ‘martial arts chic’, and there was a sense of that in the wrapped jackets and judo pants. (more…)
