Mulberry SS12 campaign
I will never get bored of kitsch, oversized props and girls in ankle socks and wedges so Mulberry’s SS12 campaign is right up my street. Creative direction by Ronnie Cooke Newhouse, photos by Tim Walker (obv), props by Andy Hillman and all round fabulosity by Frida Gustavsson and Lindsey Wixson. Best buy: Gap’s soft, fairytale-print bra by Sasha Pivovarova
More on Models Who Paint, Sasha Pivovarova has waved her watercolour brush over a capsule collection of undies and loungewear for Gap. I’m always on the hunt for pretty soft-cup bras in teeny sizes to wear under my growing collection of cream Equipment blouses and white Cos shirts. So far I’ve had a bit of success with Cos and Myla and I have my eye on some eye-popping Deborah Marquit. I’ll definitely be giving Pivovarova’s fairytale print bra a whirl – it’s 100% silk, comes with matching bottoms and is available in Gap stores.

SS12 trend report: Harvey Nichols gets Kirchhoffed
I’ve been on a bit of a press days sabbatical this season. PRs have not only spread SS12 press days across October, November and December (back in the day, it was just October), but generally had more events and launches than ever before. I guess competition for press and bloggers’ attention is fiercer than ever but it’s had the opposite effect; instead of ramping up my attendance and coverage, I’ve bailed out altogether. (more…)
