I just picked up my copy of the much-feted Vogue Italia illustrated issue. The idea is that by having all the fashion editorials illustrated, rather than expensively shot on location, not only would Vogue Italia lighten its carbon footprint, but the money saved would be donated to help restore the Fondazione Querini Stampalia in Venice, recently damaged by the floods. While some considered this a cynical greenwashing gesture, I think every little helps. Plus I love fashion illustration (even more so, magazines without pesky coverlines!).

Self-care wear: The offhours home coat

It’s been raining for three days solid and I can barely drag myself out of the house. No matter though, as I work from home and luckily for the likes of people like me, there’s a whole new fashion and lifestyle category designed to cater just for us.

It’s not pyjamas, it’s not tracksuits (god forbid), but it is cosy and comforting for the work-from-home and namastay-in-bed brigade. So let’s hear it for the ‘Homecoat’ from Offhours, a padded kimono-esque wrap coat to envelop yourself in while doing Headspace meditations on the balcony, or cranking out your investor deck on your daybed. A quick heads up in case you’re in the market for a new work to weekend bag. The brand founder and handbag designer Sophie Hulme announced last year that she was closing her brand, not due to business failings but because of personal health issues. She sufferers from Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and Kleine-Levin syndrome, two rare and debilitating illnesses that make it increasingly hard to be present running a business.

Westman Atelier’s Lip Suede compact has landed; a beautiful lacquered clamshell filled with stripes of peptide-rich and marula oil-infused lip colour. It’s priced at $85, €91 or £78 and is available on the Westman Atelier website here. There’s a brush to come at the end of the month.
