Christopher Bailey is leaving Burberry next year after 17 years at the brand. I don’t often get too involved in the designer merry-go-round discussions as these days it happens so frequently. And honestly, there aren’t many designers that I’m interested in on a personal level. But Phoebe Philo’s name has been thrown in the ring and that’s one that I think would be a great coup for Burberry. (more…)



Petit Déjeuner X Dior: Way to Blue

The latest in the DRG Petit Déjeuner film series, is a celebration of friendship and creativity.

As soon as I saw the Dior AW17 collection, I knew I wanted to shoot it. The regiment of girls all in blue, from work wear to embroidered taffeta, to a shimmering dégradé sequin gown, all topped with leather berets, was just too wonderful a vision to ignore.

While dove grey is the colour usually associated with Dior, navy blue was a lesser-known favourite of Monsieur Dior. (more…)

An unexpected highlight of Paris Fashion Week was the Andre Walker presentation at Musee des Art Decoratifs. A former designer under Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton and at Jacobs’ own label, Walker recreated pieces he first designed in the mid-80s. (more…)

The perfect Jil Sander little black suit is back.

I wouldn’t want to be Lucie and Luke Meier with all the pressure entailed in trying to resuscitate Jil Sander. Their debut collection for SS18 was big on slim tailoring, monastic white shirts, lots of texture layering (macrame fringing anyone?) and some great bags. Nothing mind-exploding but that’s not what you want for Jil Sander. (more…)
