1. OSMAN FOR AMAZON FASHION

Someone is giving Osman an almighty great push on the PR and marketing front as he seems to be popping up everywhere at the moment. I just noticed this Osman collection on Amazon.co.uk and surprisingly, it looks really luxe and beautiful. Amazon has tried hard to sell high end brands on its site but it never quite achieves the Net-a-Porter aesthetic that I’m guessing it’s aiming for. Until now. (more…)

Woah, big story of the week for me is this one. Helmut Lang the original fragrance is back! And with the proto-minimalist packaging intact too. Not sure where we can buy it in the UK, but it’s being sold on the Helmut Lang US site right now. (more…)



On Friends, Food, Family… (ok, mostly food)

I can’t complain. London’s had one of the best and longest summers of recent years, with endless hazy sunshine stretching all through September. Utter bliss! But now it’s about cosying up and hunkering down and for many that means food, friends and family.

Just after London Fashion Week, I went to the launch of Sasha Wilkins’ (aka Liberty London Girl) clever new book, aptly called Friends, Food, Family. It’s full of Sasha’s legendary (if you follow her blog or tweets) comfort food recipes including triple-layer lemon cake, halloumi, avocado and chickpea salad, and fried gnocchi with mozzarella and tomatoes (yes, lots of veggie options).
