Retail needs more concept stores. More fun! More surprises! That’s the gospel according to Linda Fargo anyway, Bergdorf Goodman’s Fashion Director, who has just opened her own shop-in-shop, kitschly called ‘Linda’s’.
“Shopping has become too homogenous,” Fargo told Vogue. “I want something where there is discovery and I’m finding unexpected things that I haven’t seen in other stores. I’m hoping to impart the real shopping—before we were all overexposed and oversaturated—when we were more like shopping virgins.” (more…)
File this under collabs I never expected to see. NARS has collaborated with French beauty minimalist Charlotte Gainsbourg on a make-up collection. It’s suitably classic, with smoky eye shadows, berry-hued cheek tints, a Hydrating Glow Tint and a kohl liner in moody shades of grey, moss green and navy. I won’t lie, it sounds beautiful in a discreet, not-very-NARS kind of way. (more…)
