I clocked these painterly bowls at Selfridges and now I can’t stop thinking about them. They’re an abstract take on traditional creamware by Faye Toogood, one of my favourite polymaths.

This is that funny time of year when it’s blazing hot but the mags are full of new season ad campaigns. And coats. Porter mag is tempting me with come-hither boots and poet’s blouses and Net-a-Porter is bursting its proverbial seams with cashmere overload.
