jo-malone-London-Christmas-Cracker 3

I don’t know who first came up with the concept of Christmas decoration-themed beauty goodies but give that person a medal. Retailers and consumers alike can’t get enough of the beauty booty-filled advent calendars, crackers and tree decorations to give or to keep.

We’ve already seen Selfridges’ advent calendar for this year and British Beauty Blogger has the Lancome ‘Christmas cubes’ and Clarins crackers on her site. Tomorrow Today sees Jo Malone London’s much anticipated festive fare arrive on counter in the UK. (more…)

Feit first

Feit-burgundy

I do love a bit of serendipity. I’m researching Australian brands for a feature and by sheer coincidence, an email arrived last week introducing me to hand sewn footwear line Feit.

It’s the brainchild of the Price brothers who have a history in streetwear (Tull Price co-founded Royal Elastics in 1996). The brand has taken classic streetwear sneaker shapes and reduced them to the most minimalist lines in high quality vegetable tanned leathers. (more…)

Buy it now: Eudon Choi for River Island

2 River-Island-Eudon-Choi_AW13

The Eudon Choi for River Island shop is open! And aren’t the look book pictures fab?

The capsule collection is part of River Island’s Design Forum which gives emerging designers a platform to reach more consumers at an affordable price. Choi based his inspiration around Vogue photographer Peter Lindbergh’s 1991 Wild At Heart shoot, which famously featured the likes of Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell and Tatjana Patitz as bad-ass bikers girls.

Eudon Choi’s tomboy-luxe aesthetic is all about boxy, anti-bodycon shapes in rich fabrics. The silver leather jacket (£250) is likely to sell out first, swiftly followed by the biker boots (£110). But the biker-detailed utility jacket (£150) and leather-panelled coat (£200) are probably your best bet for cost-per-wear versatility.
