SPOILER ALERT! Selfridges advent calendar and Net-a-Porter beauty box

Selfridges-Advent-Calendar

It seems Brits love a beauty box, but whether that’s for the handy miniatures or for the Christmassy sense of unpacking all the goodies I’m not quite sure. Anyhoo, here’s two you need to know about if you’re a beauty box fan.

First, Selfridges has launched its Christmas advent calendar (above), which is bigger and better than ever before. SPOILER ALERT: The contents are plentiful and include the following… Lancôme Hypnose Classic mascara 2ml; Armani Code Femme eau de parfum 3ml; Lancôme Hypnose Star mascara 2ml; Flowerbomb miniature 7ml; Maison Martin Margiela Untitled 7ml; Lancôme Tresor Mini 7.5ml; Lancôme La Vie Est Belle 4ml; Lancôme Bi-facil 30ml; Yves Saint Laurent Opium 75ml; Lancôme Galatéis; Doucheur cleansing fluid 50ml; Lancôme Absolu Nu lipstick in 302; Kiehl’s Creme de Corps deluxe sample 30ml; Kiehl’s Ultimate Strength hand salve deluxe sample; Yves Saint Laurent Khol eye pencil; Lancôme Renergie day cream 15ml; Lancôme Hydrazen Neurocalm moisturising cream 15ml; Lancôme Advanced Genefique 7ml; Lancôme mini Juicy Tube in 17; Yves Saint Laurent Forever Youth Liberator Serum 7ml; Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate deluxe sample; Lancôme Visionnaire serum 7ml; Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream 7ml in 385; Absolue Precious Cells Yeux deluxe sample.

In past years, the Selfridges advent calendar has sold out almost immediately so if you’re interested in this one, buy it sooner rather than later. You can buy it online here (£84) and Selfridges now offer a Click & Collect service.

In other news, Net-a-Porter has announced a partnership with subscription box service, Glossybox. On November 4th, it will release a six-item box containing full size products of Natura Bissé Diamond White SPF50 Oil Free Brilliant Sun Protection; Philip B Maui Wowie Beach Mist; Ellis Faas Mascara in Black; Elizabeth Arden Prevage Anti-Ageing Daily Serum; Ila Bath Salts; and Joya Âmes Sœurs Roll-On Parfum.

The box is a complete bargain at £20. And if like me, you wonder if beauty boxes can be a little wasteful, then Christmas is the obvious answer. Anything you don’t want can be regifted as stocking fillers/secret Santas for product-obsessed daughters, friends and colleagues.
