Two new positive fashion names on my radar: one is a fashion label and the other is an editorial site.

Make it Last, is a Swedish site that focuses on sustainable style of the non-crunchy kind. Everything is so calm and lagom and mostly vicuna-hued. And it has opened my eyes to so many lovely brands – including perfumers Stora Skuggan, auctioneers Bukowskis and … Bite. (more…)

Last week I rediscovered a ten-year-old Helmut Lang blazer in my wardrobe that I don’t think I’ve ever worn because it always felt slightly too big. When I tried it on this time, it fitted perfectly (I just think the sleeves need a tiny alteration) and the structure of the shoulders really makes an incredible difference if you have a tendency to slouch (more…)

I’m very pleased with my new Arket trouser jeans. I wanted something smarter than my runaround 501s and Nudies and these fit the bill. They’re in a rigid indigo denim, quite high waisted and straight through the calf so they can be worn over heeled boots. And they’re a mere £55. (more…)
