Positive fashion: Bite
Two new positive fashion names on my radar: one is a fashion label and the other is an editorial site.
Make it Last, is a Swedish site that focuses on sustainable style of the non-crunchy kind. Everything is so calm and lagom and mostly vicuna-hued. And it has opened my eyes to so many lovely brands – including perfumers Stora Skuggan, auctioneers Bukowskis and … Bite.
So Bite is the second sustainable discovery I want to share. It’s a London-and-Stockholm based fashion label in the Celine–Cos mould, but the way it operates is super-interesting. It’s run as a partnership, which means that profits are shared equally. And it makes sure its manufacturers are paid a fair, living wage and that its materials are 100% ecologically certified.
