Buy it now: trouser jeans
I’m very pleased with my new Arket trouser jeans. I wanted something smarter than my runaround 501s and Nudies and these fit the bill. They’re in a rigid indigo denim, quite high waisted and straight through the calf so they can be worn over heeled boots. And they’re a mere £55. The other good thing is that all Arket clothes have a unique code so that you can reorder the same style in the future.
Me+Em also has a very handsome pair of similar trouser jeans (top and below). This is a jean to be paired with a vintage YSL dotty chiffon blouse and matching YSL lip stain for winter drinks, when you’re a dyed-in-the-wool jeans girl but want to up your game. (Side note: I wear mine with a straight stack heel. The spindly stiletto look is a bit too 90s Gwyneth for me…)

I have a pair of Levis (bought in New York about 10 years ago) that are the same shape as this. Hoorah!
